Brian Malow's long and varied career includes appearances on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, TechTV, A&E, and the Discovery Channel. He co-produced and co-starred in Los Enchiladas (directed by Mitch Hedberg), an independent film which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He has been a commentator on public radio and has co-written cartoons for the internationally-syndicated newspaper comic Bizarro. He used to host a pioneering internet talk show called But Seriously... with Brian Malow, which featured interviews with famous authors, scientists, comedians and musicians. Brian's intelligent and often science-flavored stand up has been heard aboard an orbiting space shuttle and has made him a favorite of The National Academy of Sciences, The American Chemical Society, and for companies such as Microsoft, Apple, and Dell. He has opened for Dennis Miller, Sam Kinison, Lewis Black, Drew Carey, Kenny Loggins, and others. www.sciencecomedian.com

Karen Ripley, queer comic and improv master, began her comedy career in 1977 (31 years ago!) in the heyday of the GLBT comedy movement in San Francisco and now appears regularly at clubs, colleges, cruises, and festivals around the country. She was recently featured on LOGO TV's Wisecracks. Her comedy comes from her life experiences, from the "bluest lesbian jokes" to the most thought-provoking political insights. Her laid back style will relax and then surprise you with a one liner that will cause your head to fly back and your mouth to open. Intense sounds of laughter will rise up from your diaphragm, and you will be loaded with endorphins. Effects have been known to last for days. www.karenripley.com

Carla Clayy is a native San Franciscan who has spent the last several years making people laugh all over the country. She won the Marshall's Women in Comedy Competition in 2001 and was awarded a guest spot at its Marin County show, sharing the stage with Paula Poundstone, Joy Behar, and Rene Hicks. Carla is a regular at The Punchline and Cobb's and comedy clubs in such hotspots as Modesto and Chico and has shared the stage with Robin Williams.

Ali Mafi is a gay Muslim comic who was born in Tehran, Iran and raised in San Francisco. At only 22, he is part of a new generation of San Francisco comedians. He has performed all over the Bay Area and has been chronicled on CNN for his work with the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour. Ali took third place in the Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Competition and has opened for Mo'Nique at The San Jose Improv and for Marga Gomez this past New Year's Eve at The Victoria Theatre. www.alimafi.com

Lisa Geduldig is a local comic and comedy producer. She is the creator, producer, and MC of a variety of annual comedy shows including Kung Pao Kosher Comedy, Funny Girlz, The George Bush Going Away Party, A Muslim, A Mormon, and A Jew Walk into a Bar, and The Return of Charo and Her Las Vegas Show (this June 29th). www.koshercomedy.com

Mary Hughes, owner of Mary's Futons, first worked out of her garage, hand stitching every futon herself. She opened her first store in 1983 and has been in business for 24 years. Mary, who was featured in the coffee table book 100 Faces of Marin, is also a budding stand up comic and uses her almost 25 years in retail in Marin County and a few ex girlfriends as material. www.marysfutons.com
